Matthieu Lazarow, CPA, CA, MBA

Senior Consultant

Matthieu is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over six years of experience in the recruitment industry and 6 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. Before starting Westrow Recruiting Solutions, Matthieu worked for a Winnipeg based recruitment firm as a Senior Consultant, as well as having worked for a national recruitment firm as a senior consultant. Prior to that, Matthieu worked for three years as a director with a major international recruitment firm. At all three firms, he was recognized as being a top performer both locally and nationally, and was frequently the top biller in the office. Before working in the recruitment industry, Matthieu spent six years working in several roles for a Deloitte, here in Winnipeg, having gained experience in valuations, restructuring, auditing, tax, financial modeling, consulting, and more. 


In addition to holding his CPA, CA designations, Matthieu also holds a B. Comm and MBA, both from the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business. Matthieu is one of the very few Manitoba based recruiters specializing in accounting and finance roles who holds an accounting designation. Matthieu is also active in the community volunteering as a coach with Special Olympics Manitoba for the past 15+ years, sitting on boards for the University of Manitoba Alumni Association and for his condo corporation board, and volunteering and donating to many worthwhile organizations such as Winnipeg Harvest. 


Over the past 10 plus years, Matthieu has developed great business relationships with both clients and candidates, and he has worked with clients in virtually all industries, and with small, medium, large, publicly traded, and NPO organizations. He prides himself on making sure that he understands what candidates are looking for in a new job to ensure that they take the right job, not just any job. His candidates and clients have continued to show their appreciation for his attention to detail and quality work. His recruiting experience is focused on accounting and finance roles, both permanent and temporary/project, and he has filled hundreds of roles from CFO and VP finance to financial analyst and senior accountant. He won’t be happy until his candidates and clients are 100% satisfied with the service and experience.

Harbani Kaur

Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist

Harbani holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Psychology as her major and a certificate in Philosophy as her minor. During her university time, she interned under several certified and well-known Psychiatrists and worked as their assistant psychologist. She also volunteered for NGOs concentrating on education for children and women under the poverty line in India.

 

Harbani has an experience in Onboarding, HR, Sourcing, and Recruiting. Her work experience includes global companies in the tech and manufacturing industry. She is very good at recognizing and understanding people’s skills and talents. She has developed and applied with success the ability to provide a relaxed, comfortable, and yet professional environment for clients and applicants. She has an eye for finding great candidates for clients. She believes in fulfilling the needs of both, the potential candidates and clients to the fullest. Harbani’s goal is to help candidates find the right job for them and help them with their career progression. Harbani’s communication and relationship skills ease the process of sourcing and recruiting for her. Outside of work, Harbani loves to travel, explore new places, and meet new people.

Dave Pedden

Recruitment Consultant

Dave attended the University of Manitoba where he studied Geography and History. After working for the Federal Government and a major railway organization, Dave ran a franchise hardware store for 8 years in rural Manitoba, before returning to Winnipeg to begin his career in the automotive field, where was working with major distributors and specialty stores. Working in the automotive industry allowed Dave to expand his knowledge in business development, achieving several prestigious national quality awards. From there, Dave continued his career in Sales, Business Development and Recruitment with various companies here in Winnipeg. 

Dave spent some time working doing driver recruitment for a professional truck driving school, in order to help fill many trucking jobs in a highly competitive and demanding industry. After that, Dave continued to work in sales, business development and consulting roles. Dave has also served on advisory councils, coached baseball teams, and held positions on the board of directors for two curling clubs. Dave's goal is to help find great positions for Westrow Recruiting Solutions' candidates and help Westrow Recruiting Solutions' clients find great candidates.
